2010 ADS Conference Call For Abstracts

You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for your proposed presentation in one of the topic areas listed below. All abstracts should be structured around the topics listed below. All abstracts must submitted by Friday, October 29, 2011.

Unclassified and non-proprietary abstracts will be considered for acceptance in the following topics:

  • Predictive Methods
    Vision
Provide a design system that meets the component characteristics for current and future augmentor applications in a timely, affordable manner.

    Scope
    - Obtain valuable data with advanced instrumentation in a variety of experimental rigs and by computational means to develop new models for advanced design rules.

    - Ensure development of advanced technology concepts through the transition of advanced design rules

  • Measurement Techniques
    Vision
Provide advanced, enabling measurement technologies to validate emerging physical/statistical M&S methods, support test and evaluation of advanced augmentor technology concepts, and integrate with fielded systems for control and health monitoring.

    Scope
Develop and apply diagnostic instrumentation technologies to measure augmentor thermodynamics, kinematics, composition, fuel spray, and structural parameters within specified spatial, temporal, bandwidth, and accuracy requirements.

  • Test & Evaluation
    Vision
Enhance design/validation process of advanced and future augmentor systems, reducing time and cost of development

    Scope
    - Define acceptance/performance criteria for augmentor test rigs from Concept Definition forward to Sustainment including S&T

    - Obtain physics/simulation information on an engine scale for design rules construction

    - Conduct full annular rig and engine tests collecting validation data for design rules and advanced technology concepts to a TRL-6

  • Integration and Implementation
    Vision
Provide environment for Augmentor IPT to develop and demonstrate capable, affordable, reliable and maintainable thrust augmentation technologies with sustained performance over a wide operating range for transition to weapon systems

    Scope
Advance and apply aerothermal, chemical, mechanical and control technology concepts to enhance augmentor characteristics through RDT&E.

General Rules for Submitting Abstracts

1) Authors are asked to submit their abstracts electronically. Please limit the length of your abstract submission to approximately 250 words. Please make sure that the title of the technical presentation, and name(s), title(s), address(es), telephone number(s), fax number(s) and email address(es) are included on the submittal form. Abstract Submittal Deadline is Friday, October 29, 2010.

2) Abstracts must be received by Universal Technology Corporation (UTC). Program Review planners request that, in order to facilitate technical review, abstracts be submitted as soon as possible. A late submission will not allow time for proper review by the program review planning committee and may result in the rejection of the abstract. Letters of acceptance or non-acceptance will be emailed to the main author of the submitted abstract, by Friday, January 21, 2011.

3) Authors presenting papers under a government contract will be responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals and releases from the appropriate government agency. Submitted abstracts will not be released to the public.

4) Abstracts must include a description of the content, conclusions, and significance of your proposed presentation.

5) Meeting attendance is limited to U.S. citizens
